Our Mountain Ridge High School Band attended a competition on Friday, March second at Highland High School in Gilbert,
“The students had their best performance of the year!” said Aaron Vogel MRHS band director.
The band had been working on their concert music since the beginning of January. The Symphonic Winds and Wind Ensemble received the highest ratings possible from each judge- straight 1’s, for a Superior with Distinction Rating. Vogel also says, “Our Symphony Orchestra also performed very well and was awarded an “Excellent” rating in only their 2nd year at the Festival.”
Looking to the future, the concert bands plan to attend the State Concert Festival on April 26 at the Chandler Center for the Arts.
