Accidentally Coughing and Sneezing in Public

Coughing and sneezing in public has become one of the biggest crimes ever because of all the rude judgement you get from everyone around. Even if it may be a cold or you just have allergies, everyone acts like you’re going to spread COVID to the whole store when in reality you just have bad allergies. Never have I felt more uncomfortable in my life; when it happens to you everyone backs away and looks at you in the worst way. Believe me, if looks could kill, I would have been dead right there on the spot.

From experience when you cough or sneeze in public, everyone moves away from you faster than I have ever seen in my life. You get the nastiest look, as though you just spread COVID to all five people around you, no matter that you couldn’t hold it in even with your best effort.

This has happened to me many times and I just end up running out of the store without buying what I had. I have never been so uncomfy in my life and in normal years like 2019 we never had to worry about coughing or sneezing in public. It was a normal thing that happened but now everyone acts like you just pulled something terrible out of your pocket. It’s even worse when you don’t have a mask on. You feel like they’ll all jump you in the parking lot.

Trying to hold in a cough is the worst thing ever; you feel like you can’t breathe! Now we all have to try to do that everywhere. The worst thing ever was when I sneezed and yelled, “Corona!” and everyone stared and watched me walk to my car like I was a ticking bomb. Not one of my best moments, I definitely shouldn’t have said that, but I thought there was nobody around so–oops.

Trust me there is nothing worse than sneezing in public right now, don’t even dare. I will save you the public shame, just run in the bathroom or go outside away from everyone else. Trust me you don’t want to be in front of everyone else when you have to let it out.
