The perfect song turns you into a beast when lifting. The beat flows through your blood, allowing you to power through any set and hit any weight you put your mind to. From hard rock to rap, there are hundreds of songs to get your body pumped up. Having a good playlist while working out can be very motivating! Here are the top lifting songs that have been around for years to add to your playlist and will get you so fired up, you won’t even need pre workout.


  1. “Live Wire” by Motley Crue

This song hits hard on the electric and drums with a tune that will make you want to jump and dance! The lead singer, Vince Niel, has an incredible range and can hit notes not many can. Overall, the band is extremely talented and any one of their songs will get you rocking out in the gym. 


  1. “No One Like You” by Scorpions

The electric guitar in the beginning of this song will wake you up immediately. It has a great contrast of mellow, lound, and then louder. It’s definitely perfect for anyone who loves rock.


  1. “Back in Black” by AC/DC

You can’t have a playlist without throwing some AC/DC in. “Back In Black” begins with the iconic guitar and drum duo that everyone loves. It then goes hard into the first verse with strong lyrics. You can never go wrong with AC/DC!

Van Halen is a legend. Each one of his songs has such great musicality. The talent of this man is unreal and his song, “Panama” proves it. The band is extremely talented with the way they put their music together. The electric guitar flows perfectly with the bass guitar and drums.

The loud intro of this song will get you moving like there’s no tomorrow! The words are encouraging, almost like you’re fighting for your right to get swole.

“Walk This Way” is one of my favorite lifting songs of all time. It’s super fast paced and fun and after you’re done with a set, you can start jumping and dancing around to the beat of this classic. It has a great contrast of loud and exciting and has a consistent guitar, bass and drum part that will get you movin and groovin.

Nothing gets me more fired up than the insane beginning of this classic song. It will kickstart your heart for sure!

This song goes hard into the instrumental and even harder into each verse. This song gives life when you just can’t seem to get yourself together to workout. You’ll be dancing around the gym with this blasting in your ears!

Rush all around is an insanely advanced group with so much talent. Their songs have such great musicality and intensity. “The Spirit Of Radio” is a great song to help keep your mind off of how challenging the lift could be that day or just get you through each rep. It’s such a happy and fun song as well and will have you walking away with a huge smile!
