Mornings can be hard, especially before school. Waking up early just to sit through classes for another 7 hours can be rough with no fuel for your mind and body. Breakfast boosts your brainpower and is overall good for you in so many ways. But there’s not always time to make an extravagant meal. Luckily, there are some quick (and delicious) breakfast options before school to fuel you for the day!

  1. Avocado toast!! Simple and easy with so many options of what to put on it. Avocados themselves are full of nutrients. If you add an egg or some bacon or maybe even both, you’re adding protein and more flavor to it. It’s healthy, delicious, and only takes about 5 minutes to make. Toast your bread of choice and then mash your avocado onto the toast. After that add any additional toppings and you’re done! Probably THE easiest good breakfast you could make.

  1. Another option is a smoothie bowl. These are great because they’re quick and there are different kinds you can make with many topping options to perfect it for you! Only around 5 minutes of prep time and 5 minutes to make it, and it’s healthy! It’s just a combination of fruits, almond milk, yogurt and ice to thicken it up with toppings of your choice. Toss these items of choice into your blender until it’s the perfect consistency of not too runny, not too thick and add your toppings.

  1. Breakfast burritos are another option that has a variety of combinations to fit your liking. They’re a great source of protein in the mornings if you choose to put meat and eggs in it that will fuel you for your school day. You can pre-make the meat and eggs how you want earlier in the week and pop it in the fridge for an easy wrap and heat in the morning! So many different foods can be packed into one burrito: cheese, spinach, peppers, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage and much more. Get a tortilla and add your cooked ingredients, wrap it up, put it in the microwave for a bit and enjoy.

  1. Sometimes drinking something is easier and faster than eating it. That’s where smoothies come in! The possibilities for smoothies are literally endless. Any fruit, yogurt, juice, veggie could go into a smoothie to get the perfect flavor or consistency for your liking. It’s also a perfect way to sneak any fruits or veggies into your food without tasting them. Throw all your ingredients into the blender until it is the thickness you want and boom, drink up!

  1. Chocolate chip banana bread will fill that sweet craving some have in the morning. This also keeps overripe bananas from going to waste. The added chocolate chips are the perfect touch for a tasty meal. This one is one that needs to be baked prior to the morning. It’s simple and is easily warmed up to be eaten over a couple mornings.
