RR: What is the purpose of your club?

The purpose of HOSA is to provide students interested in health careers to opportunity for:

  • leadership activities
  • community service events
  • educational activities
  • fundraising activities 
  • knowledge/skills competitions

 

RR: How do students join your club? 

Current and former Project Lead The Way Biomedical Sciences Program students are eligible to join HOSA.  Directions are shared during class.

 

RR: What sorts of activities does your club participate in?

  • leadership activities – chapter officers, committee chairs, and more
  • community service events including hosting Vitalant Blood Drives, Be The Match Fundraising, activities with feeder schools
  • educational activities
  • fundraising activities for Be the Match, chapter activities and Be The Match service project
  • knowledge/skills competitions
  • attend conferences

 

RR: Who do you believe would be interested in joining your club and why? 

Current and former Project Lead The Way Biomedical Sciences Program students are eligible to join HOSA.  Students choose to join HOSA to be involved with students who share common interests, develop leadership skills and experiences to prepare for a future in health care.
