This winter’s spirit week, “Ridge Wrapped,” is inspired by the annual music replays provided by Spotify each December. Top artists, top songs, and the most popular music of the year are wrapped into one fun and shareable display. Each spirit day this week is based on a popular band.

Alternative band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were the inspiration for Monday’s dress as a frat boy. Students walked around in baggy sweats, backward hats, and basketball jerseys. College gear and local professional teams were the most popular and of course there were bonus points if the jerseys were worn backwards.

Students from all grades were able to participate in this easy and out of the box spirit day that involved unique styles and trends. Sophomore Sabine Quomsieh dressed up in jorts, a flannel, and a backwards hat. Quomsieh says that she enjoys, “spirit week because it’s fun to dress up with friends with the fun and silly themes… it is something I look forward to each year.” 

Tuesday’s spirit day is based around the Beach Boys and the theme is to bring anything but a cup, similar to the traditional anything but a backpack day.
