Tuesday’s Beach Boys inspired spirit day was to bring anything but a cup to hold your water for the day. Some of the most unique items were teapots, crockpots, spray bottles, and tupperware. These students enjoyed being able to show off their clever ways of staying hydrated. Many items were often supplemented with a normal water bottle so that they could be refilled.
This day proved to be much more challenging than the usual anything but a backpack day, and unfortunately many students did not participate. Freshman Abigail Bridge says “I just didn’t participate because I didn’t know how.” She mentions that it was hard to come up with an item that could actually hold water in it. While sophomore Aloysius Skoczen did bring an item for the day, he says “it was really hard to drink out of a spray bottle” which resulted in him feeling dehydrated.
However many of the teachers were able to get into the spirit. Algebra 1-2 teacher, Mrs. Schreyer, brought a large popcorn container with a straw and AP US History teacher, Mr. Rosinbum, brought a plastic tupperware.
Wednesday’s spirit day is a split day based on the band Guns and Roses. Students can choose to dress in swaggy street-style clothes or in classy outfits.
