Tuesday’s spirit week theme, inspired by the Mario Kart track Moo Moo Meadows, was to wear animal print. Some students walked around simply wearing shirts with cheetah, zebra, or cow print, while others went all out and wore animal onesies. From cheetah print hoodies to cow onesies, the school was transformed into a jungle of creativity and self-expression.
It was amazing to see everyone’s twist on this theme. Freshman Mason Pruitt wore cheetah pants, a Def Leppard shirt, and accessorized with sunglasses and a backward hat. When asked about his outfit, Pruitt said, “I searched in the old ladies’ section in Goodwill for 30 minutes looking for the pants. I had to wash them 5 times to get the grandma smell out of them.” Putting his twist on this theme, he had one of the most creative outfits of the day.

Freshman Lilly Moore dressed in a hoodie with cheetah print stars. When asked why she likes spirit days, she said, “It’s a reason to dress up without getting made fun of, and I will look forward to the Homecoming spirit week every year.” You see, Spirit Week is more than just dressing up, and Homecoming Week is about self-expression and creativity. It’s about having fun and wearing amazing clothes to showcase your personality and to show off what school is all about.
Wednesday’s spirit day is a split day, with different themes for each grade. Freshmen wear denim, sophomores dress as their younger selves, juniors dress fancy, and seniors dress in beach attire.
