On Thursday, the spirit week theme was jersey day to match the Mario Kart track Wario Stadium. This was a very popular day and seemed to receive some of the most participation this week. Students wore jerseys from all sports and levels from the NBA to college football. Whether they were a die hard fan or just a casual viewer, Ridge brought a lot of enthusiasm to this spirit day. One of the most popular sports were soccer jerseys with teams ranging from the Pakistani national team to world-renowned clubs like Barcelona. Some students even showed their spirit by wearing jerseys from the sports teams that they play on.
Of course, this spirit day also brings out some athletic rivalries. Freshman Caden Christensen wore an Aston Villa jersey while his senior sister, Lucille Christensen wore a Tottenham jersey. Both of these teams compete in the English Premier League.
Friday’s spirit day will be another split theme, with each grade level representing a different color to wrap up this years’ fall spirit week.
