The Mountain Ridge Band performed with the Kansas City Chief cheerleaders and mascot on Saturday morning on the live broadcast of Fox and Friends at the State Farm Stadium.

“We formed different formations each time, like an arc or two lines,” said Senior and alto saxophone player, Braden Scott. “Whenever they came back from commercials the host would walk through us as we were playing a pep tune, like Fireball and Seven Nation Army.”

The 30 band members were at the stadium from 3:15 to 7:00 AM, huddling and dancing around with the Kansas City mascot to keep warm during commercial breaks in the cold.

According to Allison Ritter, Senior and clarinet player, the Pride of the West also performed the fan favorites “Land of 1000 Dances” and “Hey Baby”.

“My favorite part about the experience was meeting the mascot and cheerleaders for the Kansas City Chiefs,” said Ritter.
