Spring is just around the corner, and many Mountain Ridge students are going on vacation or hanging out with their friends. However, what about everyone staying at home, binge-watching shows, or even just scrolling? Well, there has to be something for everyone to do, like going on a mini trip, swimming, or working out. Here are some must-do activities to do over spring, to make this deserved vacation—and the wonderful weather—worthwhile.
- Going on a mini trip to the zoo, theme park, or aquarium.
Unfortunately, vacations are expensive, and not everyone can go on one. However, you could still go on a mini-trip, especially if you have a whole day in your hands. During spring, with its sunny weather and light breeze, it is a perfect time to go on that trip to that aquarium, theme park, or zoo you have been talking about! As we know, because of the heat, Arizona isn’t always the best place to go on trips to places like theme parks, but spring is the perfect time to do that. Places such as Castles & Coasters, the Phoenix Zoo, and the OdySea Aquarium are perfect spots to fill an afternoon without going too far off the beaten path. Well, if you are looking for something to do during spring, fill that empty and boring day with an exciting and adventurous one!
2. Swimming
Spring is the perfect time for the first swim of the year. Unless you enjoy cold plunges and started swimming in January or February. However, for others, it can be chilly at times. This is why it is the perfect time for swimming, because it helps with mental relaxation. It is also the perfect hangout plan for you and your friends, especially after all of the stressful end-of-quarter exams. It also helps you prepare for the summer season. So grab a drink, throw on your bathing suit, invite a few friends, and have a pool party, or even two. Then sit back and mentally detox.
3. Working Out
For anyone looking to get fit and start going to the gym, why not start in the spring? With a lot of time on your hands, it’s easy to develop a habit of working out. Even an outdoor workout can be exciting. Even if it can be a bit windy, it feels cool outside. Living in a desert climate that has heat waves doesn’t necessarily motivate you to take a jog sometimes. Spring is the season to start that habit of running and working out.
Since it is finally the season of perfect weather and fun activities, you might as well take it to your advantage. Go on that family or friend trip you have been talking about, finally go swimming, or start being healthy. There are many activities to start doing this spring season at last.
